We got a few more details about Masterwork Armor, and I remain unmoved that it’s going to be something that’s terribly interesting to grind for. Granted, we should have never been in this situation in the first place. If we can keep the cool things about D2 shaders (weapon/ship/sparrow shading) and bring back the D1 system (unlimited use, easy storage), that would just about solve it. So that’s effectively all the major points I’ve been harping about for months now.
Bungie is looking at reintroducing shader collections for easier access because the current inventory system is clearly a nightmare. But I don’t think that’s coming immediately. So that should be a return to infinite use shaders, which is the only way I can read this. Bungie is “looking to re-integrate” Destiny 1 shader capability while keeping the ability to also use shaders on ghosts, ships, sparrows weapons and individual pieces of armor. Something like Masterwork Cores or Paradox Amplifiers give you nothing when deleted, hence why you can mass delete those. The reason it’s so hard to mass delete shaders is because they’re part of a system that has to give you rewards for dismantling them, which screws everything up on the technical side. Counterbalance Stock (Source: Banshee-44). Below, you can see some of the weapons mods from different vendors and Last Wish Raid: But, there’s one thing to take notice, you must have that mod in your inventory in order for it to be re-usable. This will give players the freedom to use weapon mods on their weapons.
If the only copy of a mod you have is already in a gun, you will need to reacquire one to unlock itįrom October 1st, you’ll be able to reuse any weapon mod you’d like to without thinking about how rare the actual mod is. This gives players the opportunity to play with different mods more frequently. Any mods you have in your inventory will be converted to unlocks Weapon mods are now treated as reusable unlocks instead of consumables.
